Misleading authors, signatories of the appeal and all interested citizens, that I do not support the e-petition No. 22/053988-EP concerning the abolition of the electronic petition No. 22/053360-EP “For the resignation of President Vladimir Zelensky”,” said Zelensky.
He explained that the Ukrainian legislation simply does not provide for the abolition petitions.
The President also believes that the original petition for his resignation was just a joke.
“Today nobody is restricted in the right to initiate e-petitions to the government, even to some extent trolling, as mentioned, a petition for my resignation, as it is one of the mechanisms of democracy,” said Zelensky.

“The Constitution will be amended, but whether it will be changed in some part or in whole, possibly in a referendum – all it is a matter of discussion,” he said.
According to Stefanchuk, the President’s team wants to restore the constitutional Commission, as they believe that professionals should shape the structure of constitutional amendments.
“Previously, all changes were made in sections of powers of Parliament and the President, and we should start with a section on the rights and freedoms of citizens… There is plenty of declaratory rights, which do not have any implementation mechanism, no mechanism of protection of these rights. This must change,” said Stefanyk.
