Ukrainian Zhan Beleniuk became Vice-world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling

The athlete lost the final to Turkish wrestler, so she got silver.

Olympic medalist of the Ukrainian Zhan Beleniuk became the Vice-champion of the 2018 FIFA world Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight category up to 87 kg

Beleniuk in the 1/16 finals won Everdas of Stankevicius from Lithuania (4:2), in 1/8 finals took precedence over the representative of Armenia Arthur Shahinyan (4:1), in the quarterfinals defeated the Iranian Hossein Ahmad Nuri (4:2), in the semi-finals won against Azerbaijanian Islam Abbasov (5:1), informs Rus.Media.

In the final Jean lost Metagenome Balarama from Turkey (1:2), remaining with the silver. In the final of the wrestlers had no reception – all decided the judges.

This is the third medal of Belenko at the world Championships after bronze in Tashkent in 2014, and gold in Las Vegas 2015.

For the national team of Ukraine on Greco-Roman wrestling this is the second world championship medal – previously won the bronze lemur Temirov.
