Two tourists from Hungary stole the bricks from the walls of the crematorium at the Museum, located on the territory of the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz in Poland.
How 30-year-old woman and 36-year-old man, put a bag of bricks, I noticed other tourists and reported it to security, reports The Local.
“They explained that they wanted to bring a souvenir and did not understand the consequences of their actions. Man and woman were charged with theft of cultural heritage. They both admitted the offence”, – said the press officer of the local police Mateusz Drwal.
Each of the offenders was fined 1 500 PLN ($400) and was sentenced to one year probation.
Earlier in Kiev shooting robbed the conversion center.
