The bill was drafted to form the revenue part of the state budget for the year 2019.
The Verkhovna Rada rejected the draft law No. 9085 “On amendments to the Tax code of Ukraine regarding rates of some taxes”, which provided for the increase in rates of excise duty, environmental tax and rent for the use of radio frequencies by 9%, reports Rus.Media. This was reported on the website of the Parliament.
The bill proposed to increase by 9% excise taxes on beer, wine, ethyl alcohol and products that contain alcohol.
From the explanatory notes it is clear that the document was intended to form the revenue part of the state budget for 2019 and to bring the amount of tax rates, projected inflation.
The bill also proposed to increase the rental fee for the use of subsoil for purposes not related to the use of mineral resources.
