Statements of the new government on the full lifting of parliamentary immunity are populist and will not become a reality
This was stated by the political expert Taras Semeniuk in an interview Politeka
“This is pure populism. Because to remove parliamentary immunity is unnecessary, you can restrict, you can simplify the procedure for the removal of this immunity in the case that the Deputy broke the law…But to remove the immunity it is blurry eyes” — said the expert.
According to him, populist statements always refers to the dreams of the people, but their implementation is far from reality.
If we talk about what the campaign slogan of President Vladimir Zelensky was the word “Dreamland”, it is hard to tell whether the new head of state populist.
“We will be able to evaluate in real work and I always give time to the end of the year. The only thing we have not seen, is a program of the party “servant of the people”, the strategic direction. What is on the site, it is the way of this dream. But how to achieve it, step-by-step strategy, we did not see it,” added Semeniuk.
However, there is still a chance that by the end of the year, Zelensky will show the results of the work, coordinating with all the new MPs and the new Cabinet, he said.
