The national Commission, carrying out state regulation in spheres of power and utilities (NKREKU) can reduce the tariff for “Ukrenergo” due to the revision of the forecast energy balance
This was stated by the co-chair of the energy strategies Foundation Dmytro Marunych in comments to journalists, write Ukrainian news.
“The tariff for “Ukrenergo” there are two things. First – it is not quite correctly calculated the balance forecast for the current year. There is a high share of alternative generation. Because due to the fare paid including renewable energy. It is the main element. If we revise the balance of the forecast, reduce this share, we’ll just have less money to cover this situation”, — said marunych.

The expert reminded that the tariff for electricity transmission and dispatching services for the management of Ukrenergo increased sharply from 1 July. In turn, he will provoke a rise in electricity tariff for consumers, so it must be reduced. He also expressed the hope that the industry Regulator will find ways to adjust the tariff.
Recall, July 1, earned a new electricity market, in accordance with the decision in 2017 by the Verkhovna Rada Law of Ukraine “On electricity market”. According to the law, the new model provides for the introduction of such segments as the market of bilateral contracts, the market “day ahead”, vnutricletocny market, balancing market.
On 27 June the District administrative court of Kyiv on the suit of JSC “Nikopol Ferroalloy plant” has stopped action of decisions, which has established tariffs for the National power company “Ukrenergo” for electricity transmission services, and dispatching control in the second half of 2019. These regulations were adopted by the national Commission to ensure a functioning new model of the electricity market.
