According to the State statistics service, the number of workers with wages more than 10 thousand UAH has increased from 17 per cent in June last year to 26.8 per cent in June 2018.

“The number of employees in Ukraine, whose salaries exceeded the level of UAH 10 thousand, made up of 26.8%. Such data are cited by the State statistics service of Ukraine after the analysis of the payroll for the month of June of the current year. Last year the figure was 17%”, — stated in the message.
It is also noteworthy that the number of workers with the minimum wage decreased to 7.4% from 9% a year earlier. The minimum wage increased from 3 200 UAH to 3 UAH 723. Also decreased the proportion of employees who receive the salary in 4 thousand UAH to 15.4% by the end of June versus 24.4% a year earlier.
The share of employees with a salary of 8-10 thousand UAH for the year rose from 9.4% to 11%.
“Relatively stable is an indicator of employees with salaries 6-8 thousand UAH. By the end of June they were 15.2 per cent as against 15.5 percent a year earlier,” the report says.
The size and the distribution of wages indicates a General trend of positive economic dynamics in the country.
As previously reported, Ukraine’s economy is growing 10 consecutive quarters. Real GDP growth in the second quarter of this year amounted to 3.6% compared with the second quarter of 2017.
One of the factors of growth was the increase in the volume of commodity exports. For the first half of the growth was 12.7% compared to the same period last year. The key for Ukraine the foreign market remains the European Union. The volume of exports of goods and services in the EU in the first half exceeded 11.1 billion dollars.
