The head of the Ukrainian center for democracy and the rule of law, Taras Shevchenko in an interview said the re-filing of the bill about the increase of penalties for driving with not fastened seat belt
According to him, the law has already been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada but was rejected, as hall did not attend a sufficient number of deputies.
“We expect that the Verkhovna Rada should consider the bill, which envisages the increase of fines from 51 to 510 UAH, that is 10 times”, — said Shevchenko, reports “Авто24”.
At the same time, the last time the fines wanted to raise up to 850 UAH, but this time picked it up just 10 times – up to 510 hryvnia.
“Last year this bill did not receive enough votes. Then many members have been on vacation. No one opposed, but the bill was vetoed and we registered it again. This is the text that passed the Committee, which was prepared for the second reading, and even with a little less penalty (they proposed an increase of up to 850 UAH)”, — added Shevchenko.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian MPs have introduced new rules, violation of which will be fined, “Now to be punished for throwing garbage in the wrong place, that is, past the urns. Amendments to the draft law, adopted in 2017, developed MPs. However, it is not clear who exactly will “catch red-handed” the worst offenders. Obviously, this will have to do the police, whose works abound,” reads the message.
The draft document States that for throwing garbage bins, Ukrainians will have to pay from 10 to 50 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from 170 UAH to 850 UAH). Repeated violation the fine will increase from 50 to 100 untaxed minimum incomes of citizens (from 850 UAH to 1700 UAH).
