Major changes will be held in the Ukrainian army, which will not affect the combat capability of the APU
About it in interview to journalists told the commander of Ukraine Ruslan Homchak, reports Radio Liberty.
According to him, in the near future the number of military units in Ukraine will be given to the optimal one.
“I gave relevant instructions, the appropriate working structure to bring the number of States of military units to an optimal number. Of course, without reducing the combat capability, readiness and preparedness for response to threats and challenges to the state. I raised the issue, set a task to study it and report to me how to do it,” said the chief of the General staff of the armed forces.
Ruslan Homchak also noted that the task to reduce the military unit is not necessary, because he wants only to improve the level of combat readiness of the Ukrainian army.
“If they unfolded, it was caused by some calculations. So now the question is justified as being studied, there is a process. My goal is not to reduce the level of combat capability, but to improve it. Not to reduce the level of management, but to improve it. All solutions must be verified. My every decision is a collective work. I need to hear specialists in their field, than they were guided, what is the situation. Not a problem to make a decision. The problem is to make the right decision, to hear all that it was justified and gave an appropriate result,” – said the chief of the APU.
The chief of the General staff of the armed forces also said in an interview with reporters, whether it will be soon time to audit the activities of their predecessors.
“I nullify the situation, put a clean sheet of paper and continue to work for the objectives for those goals that I set for myself. I find it more constructive approach than I would now undertook to analyze or audit the activities of their predecessors”, — he said in conversation with journalists.
