As previously reported, the IMF Mission finally broke up with Ukraine on Thursday, 30 may.
On the official website, the IMF has reported that the IMF Mission stopped its work in Ukraine. Experts monetary Fund was on the territory of our country from 21 to 29 may inclusive.
“The IMF experts had very productive discussions with the Ukrainian authorities, including with President Zelensky, the revision of the Agreement on standby arrangements with the IMF. Team IMF is ready to return to Kyiv to continue the discussion after the upcoming parliamentary elections once the new government clarify its political intentions,” — said the head of the Mission Ron van Roden.
The information that the international monetary Fund prematurely terminates the Ukrainian mission appeared may 22. Then it was noted that the reason for this was the dissolution of Parliament and aborted the new government.
Earlier it was reported that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the IMF mission, said on the presidential website.
“Cooperation continues. The international monetary Fund is always a reliable partner of Ukraine in the times when we need support, and Ukraine also will be a partner that adheres to their obligations. Unfortunately, now we see a delay in adoption of reform bills that citizens, businesses, the financial community is waiting for years. I hope the new Parliament will make up for it and will provide the basis for receipt of the next tranche of funding from the Fund,” he said.
We will remind, the issue of cooperation with the IMF Zelensky is almost solved.
As reported Politeka, lawyers have uncovered the ins and outs of cooperation with the IMF.
Politeka also reported that the EU will give Ukraine 500 million euros of aid after the introduction of the new energy market.
