Strike averted at the Matane-Baie-Comeau-Godbout, on the North Shore, a new contractual agreement having been approved by the 60 unlicensed workers FA Gauthier.
A release was scheduled for July 22, but a large majority of employees agreed Thursday night in Matane, the last contract offer.
Few details have been leaked on the new collective agreement, which runs until 2020. The wage issue was one of the issues in dispute.
Numerous rounds of negotiations had been held since September 2015 without being able to resolve the conflict. The agreement had expired in March 2015.
Affected employees are the cleaners, the intake officers and sailors, members of the International Union of Canadian sailors.
