SQ solves the discovery of a body dating back to 2008

1227294(SHERBROOKE) In making two arrests Tuesday in Val-d’Or, the Surete du Quebec (SQ) solved the murder of a man whose body was discovered in 2008 in Richmond.

Service investigation of crimes against the person of the SQ have arrested two men in connection with the death of Isabelle Lehouiller, 45, Val-d’Or. This woman was missing since October 20, 2015 and had been seen for the last time in Amos.

Pascal Therrien arrests, 49, Gaetan and Belair, 44, also solved the murder of Bruce Beland. His body was found April 24, 2008 along Highway 116 between Acton Vale and Richmond. The body had been wrapped in a tarp. The victim died violently, probably by a firearm, had completed the autopsy on the corpse.

He had been seen for the last time on 13 November 2007 in Senneterre, said the police in a statement released early Wednesday afternoon.

Pascal Therrien faces two counts of murder in the first degree, while Gaetan Belair faces charges of conspiracy, extortion, pointing a firearm and insulting a corpse.
