Scientists have figured out what you need to limit yourself to get rid of irritability and depression
Long known that social networks cause adverse health. Recently, researchers at the psychology Department of the University of Penn state found out how much time per day you can use social media without deterioration of health. In the test was attended by such popular social networks as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
The study involved 143 students. They within three weeks used applications three popular social networks. Although scientists have established a limit of 10 minutes on each application, the participants in the experiment were allowed to exceed.
Before starting the test, all students also passed the test to set a starting point of psychological health.
Test group, which adhered to the established limits, showed the best results of wellbeing than those who exceeded the allowed time. They decreased irritability and fear when compared with the initial level to the test.
The more social media you use, the higher the chances that you will be irritable or depressed. This is evidenced by the research Centre of media, technology and health at the University of Pittsburgh.
The study involved more than 1,700 young adults (millenials). Those who used the media platform to 11, was three times more vulnerable to irritation and depression against those who had two accounts. Among these social networks participants called Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Tumblr, Pinterest, Vine and LinkedIn.
