The ex-the Governor of odesshchina Mhel Saakashvili said that his lawyers are working to return him to the citizenship of Ukraine. The politician said this at a briefing in Kiev.
“We are preparing a lawsuit to recover my citizenship,” said Mr. Saakashvili.
The politician said he expects a large number of people at a rally near the Verkhovna Rada on 17 October.
Among the requirements he called the abolition of immunity, the introduction of anti-corruption courts, a new election law, the punishment of “dear friends”, the new CEC.
Mhel Saakashvili said that among political parties that will join the action, but his “Movement new forces” will be of the party “Batkivshchyna”, “Self”, “Freedom”, “Nazarus”.
The politician said he did not expect serious provocation at the rally on October 17. He stressed the peaceful nature of the protest, and expressed the opinion that if there are attempts at provocations, the organizers will be obvious.
In addition, Saakashvili said that sees no need for a “third Maidan”, because, according to him, have not met the requirements of the “second Maidan”.
If the deputies demands are not met, the protesters could remain indefinitely under the Parliament, Saakashvili said.
