Russian mobile operators increase tariffs: VimpelCom, MegaFon and Tele2 will increase prices in January

Russian mobile operators since January of 2019 are going to increase the cost of services provided. The reason for this decision is the increase in the VAT rate.

So, about the rising cost of services have already reported such mobile operators as “Beeline”, “MegaFon” and Tele2. About it the representatives of the media told customers of mobile operators.

For example, customers of “VimpelCom” (“Beeline”) came a text message, which says that from 1 January 2019 services will rise by a factor of 1,016949 with mathematical rounding to cents. The prices and tariffs without VAT will continue.

In support of VimpelCom commented, noting that the mobile operator “performs the execution of the FL-303 for VAT rate change”, therefore will rise in price of services.

Subscribers of “MegaFon” also received an SMS which says that in January of changing the VAT rate from 18% to 20%. Services the mobile operator will rise in price since January 9, 2019.

Mobile operator Tele2 is also not left behind and has announced its customers about the rise in price of services from 1 January 2019. The company noted that considering changes in the market, so they are “forced” to revise the cost of services.

But MTS at the request of the correspondent of “Vedomosti” about increase of tariffs due to the increase from 1 January 2019, the VAT rate stated that while information on increase of tariffs they had.
