The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has informed that has instructed diplomats to prepare a new resolution on Crimea for the next session of the UN General Assembly. This informs the Agency Russia Today.
According to Poroshenko, it is necessary that “to stop any speculation on the status of Crimea”.
The Ukrainian leader also added that the General Assembly has “repeatedly supported the position of Kiev.”
Recall that at the end of last year, the UNGA adopted resolution of Ukraine on human rights in Crimea. Square, in turn, supported the adoption of the resolution.
Crimea became part of the Russian Federation after the referendum in 2014, where the overwhelming majority of the residents voted for reunification with Russia.
