The member for Orford, Pierre Reid, confirmed Monday morning that he will end his political career.
After a few months of reflection, Reid announced he will not be a candidate in the next provincial election.

He formalized a decision on his future at a press conference held Monday morning in Magog.
Mr. Ried says he wants to focus on caring for his boy and grandchildren.
By the end of his term, Pierre Reid hopes that hot issues such as the construction of a new arena and the track at Magog will be resolved.
Over the last few weeks, several media have reported on the thinking of the current member for Orford. The principal concerned did not hide his hesitation, but he assured that his final decision was not yet taken. He finally opted for retirement.
In an interview with La Tribune at the end of January, Pierre Reid mentioned that he would like to be more present for his son, who is attending a high school in the Magog region.
