Political party “the Foundation” decided on the format of participation in the extraordinary elections to the Verkhovna Rada on 21 July: “Basis” will join forces with the party “Batkivshchyna” and creating a common list of candidates. This was at the end of the extraordinary Congress “Basics”, which took place may 31, said the Chairman of the party “Base” Andrey Nikolayenko.
“Representatives of the party “Base” will participate in the extraordinary elections to the Verkhovna Rada. This is the main solution of our extraordinary Congress. Of course, we expected that the Council will make election law more democratic, reduce the entrance barrier for new political forces and enable the passage of the parliamentary blocks of political parties. But, on the assumption that early elections will be held according to the current law, we decided to go to the elections by forming a common list with the party “Batkivshchyna”,” — said Andrey Nikolayenko.
As the head of the” Basics “, the party will delegate their representatives to the polls in national and in majority constituencies.
“A joint campaign in the elections “Batkivshchyna” — is a reasonable step. Because we are ideologically close to the major program provisions of “Batkivshchyna” on the most important issues of today — the strategy of economic growth and a peaceful settlement in Ukraine”, — said the head of “the Basics” and recalled that “Basis” has consistently supported Yulia Tymoshenko during the presidential campaign.
Andrei Nikolaenko believes that the joint team of the “Basics” and “Batkivshchyna” the new Parliament will be able to quickly create a strong Pro-Ukrainian coalition that will form government. “We believe that today the country needs efficient, experienced and competent government.
“I am confident that our collective team is able to create in the future Parliament a strong Pro-Ukrainian coalition, and will claim the position as the head of government, and individuals responsible for economic development and reintegration of Donbass”, — stated Andrey Nikolayenko.
