The police called the cause of a fatal accident in the Carpathian mountains, where the truck carrying tourists fell into a river
As representatives of the police Ivano-Frankivsk region on his page in Facebook, the accident happened as a result of the fact that the 47-year-old driver of the truck lost control on the rise, causing the vehicle began to move backwards and capsized into the river.
We also found out that the driver was drunk. This was confirmed by medical examination. In the accident, the driver sustained only bruises, unlike his three passengers who died in a car accident.
“As a result of the accident three people were killed: 23-year-old and 28-year-old citizen of Belarus and 29-the summer citizen of Belarus. 9 people ranging in age from 21 to 49 years undergo a medical examination at local hospital with various injuries. Other passengers assisted at the scene”, — reported the police.
In total, the truck was carrying 24 people, 23 of them tourists from Belarus. According to preliminary data, they were heading for the river rafting.
