Belarus – the only country where at the state level celebrating the October revolution.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of the centennial anniversary has congratulated his compatriots on this occasion. About it reports a press-service of the head of state.
“In world history there are events that affect the fate of Nations, predetermining its further development. October 1917 marked the emergence on the political map of the country with a fundamentally new way of life and the proclamation of the right of Nations to self-determination”, – stated Lukashenko.
He also stressed that Belarusians live in a sovereign, independent country, build a strong, stable state.
Note that today Belarus is the only post-Soviet country, where, on 7 November is a public holiday.
