Klimkin called the Orthodox Church a “schismatic in the Orthodox world” because of the rupture of relations with Constantinople.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin called a “schismatic” Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) due to the rupture of relations with the Constantinople Patriarchate, informs Rus.Media.
He wrote about this in his Twitter account.
“The ROC has decided to break off the Eucharistic communion with the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which is based on genuine historical and canonical documents proved that Ukraine is its canonical territory. Someone still have doubts who is the dissenter in the Orthodox world?”, – he wrote.
The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church decided on a complete break of relations with the Constantinople Patriarchate. This was done in response to the decision of Constantinople to grant autocephaly to the Ukrainian Church.
