In particular, such talks were held on 22 March in Moscow, when the meeting of Viktor Medvedchuk, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and Chairman of the Board “Gazprom” Alexey Miller (the meeting was also attended by a member of the party “Opposition platform For life,” Yuriy Boyko). Later, on 7 June for talks with Alexei Miller in St. Petersburg, was once again confirmed readiness of the Russian side to provide a 25% discount on gas for Ukrainian consumers.

It is significant that the above statement of Alexey Miller, came on the eve of trilateral gas negotiations between Ukraine, Russia and the EU, which will be held in Brussels on 19 September.
