Gatineau City will consider the possibility of banning pitbulls on its territory.
The recent tragic events involving this breed of dog pushing Gatineau elected to initiate a real discussion about it.
City council instructed the public safety committee to review regulations to this effect in the coming weeks.
“I wanted to have a board mandate for the committee to consider it, said the chairman of the committee on public safety, Jocelyn Blondin. We will review the existing policy that is already tough enough, but we will also review our regulations for pets. The ban on pit bulls is not ruled out. ”
