Ferrari refuses to supercharge its V12

The V12 is part of the Ferrari DNA. This engine allowed the firm of Maranello to obtain many victories on the track while breathing a soul to several of its creations.

The brand’s president, Sergio Marchionne, once again reiterated the importance of the V12 for Ferrari by stating in an interview with Autocar magazine that he would never impose overeating.

He prefers to use hybrid technology to reduce his thirst, a different approach to that used for the V8 of the manufacturer, which are biturbos.

At present, three Ferrari models use V12, 812 Superfast, GTC4Lusso and LaFerrari Aperta.
