The European Central Bank (ECB) stated that notes of this denomination any more will not be issued
It is reported that from the beginning of this year, 17 of the 19 EU countries have already stopped production of the money, writes Deutsche Welle.
We are talking about banknotes of 500 euros. Until the end of April 26 Germany and Austria even printed a denomination, but since April 27, and these two countries the issue will stop. Citizens are urged not to panic because the to pay them will be free, it is also possible to keep them as a savings means.
However, when the banks will receive 500 Euro bills, they will be withdrawn, and instead will issue banknotes of smaller denominations.
The national Bank of Ukraine also plans to gradually replace pyatistennoye bills.
Recall that in the summer of 2016, the ECB provided an updated banknote in the 50 Euro. She has got new security features to and the bill was placed the portrait of the heroine of Greek mythology — Europe.
Last fall was presented the design of the new 100 and 200 euros. Bills got the hologram and the watermark portraits of the Phoenician Princess Europe. Also on the banknotes there were “secret” – the reliefs and inscriptions under a different inclination change color.
As previously reported, the national Bank of Ukraine issued commemorative coins dedicated to the granting of the Tomos of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The coin went on sale on 25 March 2019. It is planned to issue coins in three denominations — 5 UAH of Nickel silver (circulation of 75 thousand pieces), 20 hryvnia (silver gilt with a local, circulation-4 thousand) and UAH 100 (gold, circulation 1.5 million).
“These coins will continue the series “Spiritual treasures of Ukraine”. They are dedicated to the granting of the Tomos of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine”, — said the press service of the national Bank.
We also wrote that the national Bank has conducted auction for the sale of uncut sheets of banknotes. For sale was vitaminneutropenia sheets of banknotes (in rolls) in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnia.
The auction of the national Bank was electronic. It held Universal commodity exchange “house of contracts UICE” in the electronic trading system with remote access.
To bid, participants are given 1 minute. Step prices on sheets of banknotes of 1 and 2 hryvnia, the national Bank established in the amount of 2 thousand hryvnias, on banknotes of 5 and 10 hryvnias and 1,5 thousand.
Note that now in circulation in Ukraine are banknotes 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 hryvnias and coins 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 cents and 1-2 hryvnia. Recently, the national Bank put into circulation a new banknote of 500 UAH, while the Ukrainians can continue to get bills past issue.
Recall that the Ukrainians were advised to get rid of large notes: may charge a Commission.
