(SHERBROOKE) Nearly 350 jobs will open shortly the integrated University Health Centre and Social Services Estrie – Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (Estrie CIUSSS – CHUS).
With the recent merger, employees CIUSSS – CHUS had proposed last year, maintaining a moratorium on job postings in CIUSSS network. Starting in June 2015, engendered a moratorium positions opening frost in some hospital sectors.
Now, a year later, the moratorium is lifted on 8 June and direction CIUSSS – CHUS undertakes to open nearly 350 positions at the next display period.
However, according to Annie-Andree Emond, Communications Coordinator of CIUSSS -CHUS, display conditions will not be known for several weeks. This delay allows time for different directions and union partners to find a display process that will respect all collective agreements.
The 14 institutions that includes the CIUSSS the Eastern Townships have more than fifty unions, some of which prohibit the display positions during the summer while others allow.
The unions are currently negotiating the modalities and procedures for display and selection. The opening positions could be phased in establishments which display in the summer and will continue this fall with the opening of the remaining seats to be filled.
sure thing, the Estrie CIUSSS of employees will see many positions open by the end of the summer or in September.
Of the 350 posts to be displayed, most sectors will be covered, but “there will be especially a lot of positions in administrative areas and some in clinical areas,” says Emond.
