By 2020, China intends to launch a module that will be a major part of the orbital space station. This was stated by the Director of the Chinese management on engineering developments in the field of manned space flight of the first Chinese cosmonaut Yan livey, according to The Times on Tuesday, July 10.

“China is ready to launch an era of space stations,” he said.

We will remind, on April 2, 2018 the first Chinese space station Tiangong-1 (heavenly Palace) entered the Earth’s atmosphere and ceased to exist.

Tiangong-1 was launched into orbit on 29 September 2011, because of this, China became the third country in the world after the USSR and the USA with its space station. During its existence the station was visited by two manned expeditions in 2012 and 2013. In 2016, the connection with the station was lost.
