Danish scientists came to the conclusion that the painkiller diclofenac, which is included in the list of vital and essential medicinal products for medical use, may increase the risk of deadly diseases by 50 percent.
As reported by RIA Novosti, in the course of the study, experts found a close relationship between the use of diclofenac and various cardiovascular problems, particularly arrhythmia, ischemic stroke, heart failure and heart attack.
The scientists also compared the incidence of heart disease in patients taking diclofenac and other painkillers. In the end, it turned out that diclofenac Danes experienced an average of one heart attack than those who consumed ibuprofen or naproxen. In addition, used for sedation diclofenac patients three times more likely to suffer from heart disease than had used paracetamol.
