vice-president-brp-louis-levesque(Valcourt) People of Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) seem to genuinely believe that their involvement in NASCAR pay dividends.

Last fall, it will be recalled, they had announced with great fanfare that they would sponsor a team in the Sprint Cup (Fas Go Racing) and they will support the young driver Alex Labbé in Canadian series. But now they just confirmed that they will sponsor a test of Pinty’s series that presented to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (formerly Mosport) during the weekend of Labor Day.

The Can-Am 200 will be the 10th of 12 events planned NASCAR Canada Series schedule in 2016. The activities of the series will begin in May.

“The Pinty’s series is an excellent platform for contact with our customers Canada says Louis Lévesque, vice president at BRP. Our products are combined with the passion and performance and NASCAR fans are passionate. The association is logical and natural. ”

BRP wants to make its products in the US, which explains its association with Fas Go Racing and also why it sponsored the preliminaries of the Daytona 500 and why it will sponsor the event of Phoenix, always Sprint Cup next November .

“At the same time, we are committed to Canada and we want to demonstrate clearly,” adds Louis Lévesque.

The drivers of Fas Go Racing (Jeffrey Earnhardt, Bobby Labonte and Joey Gase) could not do better than a 31st place after four events so far in Sprint Cup. It is the veteran Labonte, Daytona, which obtained the best result.

“We do not fight for the championship, but we will be a good development team” had told Voice of East the head of NASCAR program at BRP, Lord Alain Mounir, adding that the goal will however win the Canadian championship series.
