Breach of probation: The Simon Kean boxer pleads guilty

simon-kean(Trois-Rivieres) As announced last week by his lawyer, the Trois-Rivieres boxer Simon Kean pleaded guilty Tuesday in three breach of probation leaders for the events in Trois-Rivieres and Quebec.

A PSR was asked to assess the personality of Kean and guide the judge in determining the appropriate sentence.

According to the indictments, the boxer who now resides in Montreal failed to comply with the terms of his probation by visiting a Three Rivers Bar December 14, 2014, and again violated his probation by consuming the alcohol in Quebec April 26, 2015.

The individual had received a sentence of ten months’ imprisonment in February 2014 for assault causing bodily harm and death threats committed in April 2013.

The boxer had intervened in a fight between two men. Given the remand, he had served less than two months of his sentence. He also had to comply with a probation period of two years that required him to stay away from alcohol and bars.

Sentencing representations are scheduled June 17
