An English theater that presents the best of Molière, here is a new, rather unusual. Yet this is what the Brome Lake Theatre this week, as a look at his public speaking blink. With the great comedian Albert Millaire to boot.
Rendezvous Moliere, which continues Friday and Saturday, highlights the scenes “the funniest and most impactful” from the teeming directory French playwright, and this form of public reading.
Albert Millaire chose the texts, in addition to seeing the staging. To play these memorable pictures, he is accompanied on stage by actors Frederick De Grandpre, Charli Arcouette and Catherine de Lean.
The idea comes from Albert Millaire himself, who spends his summers in the corner and played more than once in the little theater of a hundred places.

Molière is known for its classic crossing time, as The Miser, The Scapin, The Misanthrope, The Imaginary Invalid … Yet his theatrical oeœuvre consists of thirty pieces, written over three decades in the 17th century.
At Theatre Lac-Brome, viewers will discover – or recognize – and tirades from some of those key pieces, as well as The School for Wives, Tartuffe, Dom Juan and Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme.
Albert Millaire also ensure to present the scenes by putting them in context.
A few hours of the first performance on Thursday, Mr. Pynes seemed confident of attracting fans of satirical comedy. “I’m very curious to see the reaction of the audience! ”
