Screening of the film Fear

The film directed by Damien Fear Odoul in 2015 will be presented to the public on Thursday, June 17 at 19 h 30 at the hall of the Centre for Popular Arts. The entrance fee is $ 5. For this film, the director won the Prix Jean Vigo in 2015 attributed to “a French filmmaker who has distinguished himself for independence of mind and the quality of its realization.” Filming on some places of Nicolet and surrounding mobilized many local extras. Painters Monday

The Monday Painters invite the public to their end of season exhibition Monday, June 13, from 13 am to 16 am in the Nicole Dubuc-room Centre for Popular Arts of Nicolet. They will present some of their works in the 2015-2016 season and will demonstrate their techniques. The Monday Painters are a group of fifteen artists who gather Monday for work days and exchange. The exhibition comes to close the 4th season of free workshops from Monday to Centre for Popular Arts. Free entry.

North Breeze will be the Garden of choirs
The vocal group Brise North will eventually extend its season until July. Is that the company has been selected for the 2nd edition of the Garden choirs, in collaboration with the Just for Laughs Festival. The vocal group looked forward to going to represent La Tuque in the event. The event takes place Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 18 am to 20 pm, on the Place des Festivals in Montreal. A Trifluvien receives Jacques Parizeau Award

Serge Cantin, a philosopher of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), received the Jacques Parizeau Award presented annually by the intellectuals of sovereignty. This award to honor one of Quebec intellectuals having the most distinguished in his career by his contributions to the advancement of Quebec society in intellectual, artistic or social. Mr. Cantin has taken positions publicly noticed conducive to national emancipation and independence of Quebec. He radiates the province in both Europe and Asia.
