(SHERBROOKE) For the third time in less than a month, the market Savoroso Station Sherbrooke was the target of criminals.
A complaint was made to the Sherbrooke Police Service concerning the theft of a dozen bottles of liquor on the terrace of the establishment of the station market.
The owner of Prune Savoroso Simon would not comment other event. However on his Facebook page, he delivers some comments.
“I’m just discouraged … !! Despite the alarm system, chains, complaints to the police, it is now the third time we flew from the beginning of May! If anyone has seen, last night, a person or persons quickly leave the station market site with backpacks, please email me in private! “Said the message posted on social media.
The SPS Investigations Division opened an investigation into the event.
The station market site that belongs to the City of Sherbrooke is managed by Destination Sherbrooke.
The communications coordinator for Destination Sherbrooke, Amelie Boissonneau, deplores these events to repeat the Savoroso.
“There is already a surveillance camera at the station market and an alarm system inside the building. In the lease of Savoroso, it is specified that the security of their outdoor facilities remain under their responsibility. They could install a surveillance camera by making an application. No specific regulations in terms of heritage seems to prevent install such equipment on the building, “says Amélie Boissonneau Destination Sherbrooke.
