This was told by Ukrainian developer and CEO of SAGA Development Andrew Vavrish during the VIII International architectural forum “the Power of architecture. The path to a successful project”, which took place on 10 September in Kyiv.
“We put in the master plans of the projects which now have no money on the expectation that resources will appear. Country living on means, create projects based on available resources. To fight to improve the quality of life of people not in the distant future, but right now,” said Andrew Vavrish.
He also added that the rating of the International Bank for urbanization Ukraine is in 5th place among 70 countries. This speaks to the irrational use of territories.
“The top five countries in the development of new territories includes China, USA, India, Russia and Ukraine. After us is Indonesia and Germany. At the same time Germany for 53 hours produces the annual GDP of Ukraine. The territory of Kiev in the 25 years increased by 45-50%. While in the capital a lot of areas with existing infrastructure simply are not used: they are reserved for projects that have, maybe someday I will. It is the result of the Soviet town-planning traditions. This page it’s time to turn to begin to generate potential,” said Andrew Vavrish.
