The Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki made the decision on dismissal of the Deputy Minister of investments and development of Gorongosa Paul for his statements on migration policy.
This writes Wirtualna Polska.
Deputy Minister in the debate on the theme “What integration policies need Poland?” he said, in particular, the need to enhance the inflow of immigrants to Poland, as they “ensure the prosperity of those countries that achieved the greatest success.”
According to him, this is the only way to achieve economic growth that will not lead to wage cuts for the poles. As stated by the Deputy Minister, provided a steady flow of immigrants “we can support economic development at the level that we have.” Horonzy, in particular, expressed positive views about the involvement of workers from Ukraine and Asia.
According to sources in the office of the Prime Minister when the Prime Minister learned about these statements, he did not hide his indignation: “the Prime Minister was mad because the speech Gorongosa was contrary to what the government is doing against immigrants”.
After dissatisfaction with the statements Gorongosa he made an explanation:
“My statement during yesterday’s debate at the Jagiellonian club on migration policy are not the official position of the government. This policy arises in the cooperation of several ministries. There is still a long way to its adoption by the government. Decision prepared by the Ministry related to the economy, in particular the needs of the labour market,” wrote the Deputy Minister on the website of the Ministry of investment and development.
Officially, the decision to resign Gorongosa is due to be published September 14.
