The Ministry of defense of Venezuela reports that a military helicopter crashed for unknown reason, when going from the capital of the West-Central state of Cojedes. On Board were the officers: three captains, two majors and two Lieutenant colonels.
A statement regarding the death of the helicopter crew were made by the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in his Twitter account:
“I deeply regret this incident and extend our heartfelt condolences to their families and friends,” he wrote.
The President this day was in Cojedes, watching military exercises.
Maduro expressed hope that the exercise will help the country in confrontation with the United States.
The government of Venezuela is studying the circumstances for which a military helicopter crashed.
