A big box store for Charlotte and Charlie

centre-andreanne-simard-tient-enfant(Quebec) and Charlie Charlotte shop specializing in clothing and middle and high-end accessories for babies and children, open a megastore in September. This will be the second trade of the banner.

The new store will have 5,000 square feet, plus a warehouse, while the City Square store occupies less than 1,000 square feet. The proposed $ 750,000 will add furnishings for baby bedrooms for young children in addition to strollers, car benches, high chairs and other accessories that could not be presented in the original store.

“We will have furniture and exclusive accessories for the region,” says Louis-Olivier Gagnon, head of business development and corporate treasurer. The new store under construction at 1751 Marais St., corner Père-Lelièvre and Robert-Bourassa, will also lead to the creation of ten jobs.

The changes were necessary because of the increasing customer since September 2013 and online sales reaching 10% of transactions.

For Andréanne Simard, owner and co-founder of Charlotte and Charlie, opening a larger store “will give us the opportunity to offer a better selection of products. This new branch will allow parents to equip A to Z for the arrival of their child in an environment retaining the Charlotte and Charlie signature. ”

Become a must

Moreover, the management team would like to become a key destination and as a trendy boutique to the markets of the East-du-Québec, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Chaudière-Appalaches and Saguenay.

The shop will also use a new enhanced shopping experience, thanks to a warm and trendy space, a personalized room smell, “says Gisèle Wagner, Director of Operations. “The iPad user connected to the online store, a play area for children and an area with changing table are added values. ”

In wanting to become a leader in products for babies, Charlotte and Charlie store wants to increase its stake in online shopping.

If future plans are among the thoughts, there is no short- or medium-term plans to open another shop in area.
