Company Volkswagen has published another teaser, and also reported some details about the new compact crossover T-Cross. The model will premiere in the fall of 2018 at the Paris motor show and sales will begin in the spring of next year.
The novelty is built on the modernized modular platform MQB, which allowed to significantly push forward the front axle, resulting in increased free space in the cabin and Luggage compartment.
The size of the trunk will amount to 455 litres, the company claims that this is the highest figure in this segment. And when fully folded the back row, its volume increases to 1,281 litres, which should be enough to take on Board the ice hockey equipment, bicycles or snowboards.
According to preliminary data, the engine range will include three-cylinder supercharged units working volume of one liter capacity of 95 and 110 HP Transmission — six-speed “mechanics” or “robot” with two clutches. In addition, the range will include a 150-horsepower 1.5-liter “turboservice”, as well as two 1.6-litre diesel engine capacity of 95 and 115 HP.
Standard crossover will include a system to prevent frontal collision and the function of the rule of lane traffic. As options will be available fully digital instrument panel, multimedia system with eight-inch touch display and wireless charging station for your smartphone.
