July 17 will be held in Berlin of the tripartite gas talks with the participation of Ukraine, Russia and the European Commission.
In the negotiations, “Naftogaz” plans to offer the Russian “Gazprom” gas transit through Ukraine after 2019 according to European rules, a media report said chief commercial officer of Naftogaz Yuriy Vitrenko, reports “Correspondent”.
“We’re going with our main proposal is to apply the European rules on the transit of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine. We will insist that Gazprom was working in Ukraine according to the same rules, on which “Gazprom” works in Europe” – said Vitrenko.
He added that the requirement for the tariffs for gas transit, booking, capacity, and data exchange.
“That’s all, as in Europe, and we have,” – explained chief commercial officer.
This approach, according to Vitrenko, will remove the discussions that the proposals of the Ukrainian side allegedly unfounded.
Ukraine at the negotiations represented by the Minister of foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin and Chairman of the Board “Naftogaz” Andrew KOBOLEV.
The Russian delegation will be headed by the Minister of energy of Russia Alexander Novak and Gazprom representatives.
Vice-President of the European Commission maroš Šefčovič stated that the negotiations should focus on establishing the terms of the new agreement and the basic parameters of transit.
Among these settings:
- the minimum annual volume of transit
- the tariff level
- possible warranty
- other details that must work with each other directly for the company.
At the same time, July 6, Naftogaz filed a new lawsuit against Gazprom in Arbitration Institute of Stockholm chamber of Commerce.
