The increase in fares will affect metro, trolleybuses, trams, public buses, funicular, and the s-Bahn. The new rate is 8 UAH per trip.
In Kiev, Saturday, July 14, apply new tariffs for journey in city public transport. This was reported in the corresponding order of the KSCA.
So, passengers who regularly use public transport and contactless cards will be able to pay for 1 trip in the metro from 6.50 UAH (in the case of a one-time purchase of 50 trips). The single ticket will cost 8, 00 hryvnia.
From now on the validity of contactless cards extended from 6 to 12 months will be considered from the date of last use, not the credit card. For a one time card can be topped up to a maximum 50 trips, while the total number of trips on the card may not exceed 100.
It is also reported that passengers who use monthly passes, would pay for one trip from 6,14 UAH (monthly travel ticket for 4 types of transport) to 6.50 UAH (monthly travel ticket for 1 kind of transport). While monthly tickets for land transport and city train amount of travel will remain unrestricted.
“The cost of the ticket for one calendar month in the ground transport (no limit to the number of trips) will cost 390 USD, and in the metro – 610 UAH; on 2 types of vehicles (surface and subway on 46 trips) – 570 UAH; on 2 types of vehicles (surface and subway on 62 trips) – 670 hryvnias”, – reported in the KSCA.
In addition, the CP Kiev metro introduced new tickets that will be used from the time of activation: 10 trips in 5 days (75 UAH), 14 trips in 7 days (104 UAH) and 30 trips to 15 calendar days (210 USD).
Purchased at the old fare tokens and tickets will be valid until the end of July. Also until the end of July passengers will be able to exchange the tokens for the metro old model for a new one at no additional cost.
Previously the building of the Kyiv city state administration held two meetings due to the rise in the price of public transport up to 8 UAH.
