In Ukraine banned the installation of temporary structures, and other promotional designs in the pedestrian zones sidewalks.
The relevant provision is contained in the new state building codes, with effect from September 1, said Deputy Minister of regional development, construction and housing, Lev Partskhaladze, the press service of the Ministry.
“Pedestrian zone and are called “pedestrian” as it is intended for pedestrians, for their convenience and comfort in movement. It is therefore logical that these paths do not need to install advertising structures, kiosks, place manholes and inlets, because it interferes with the smooth movement on sidewalks and can even be dangerous for pedestrians,” – said Partskhaladze innovation.
The Ministry also noted that, under the new rules, in the pedestrian areas of the sidewalk are not allowed to:
- guardrails and supports;
- advertising structures;
- temporary structures (stalls, pavilions, kiosks, tents, etc.);
- manholes and inlets;
- stairs and porches of buildings and more.
The document was developed to replace similar regulations 2001 and applies to new construction, reconstruction and repair of existing streets and roads.
