Federal court for the Central district of California (USA) refused to charge Ukraine more than $ 50 million in favour of the Olympic champion in figure skating Oksana Baiul

2015 in the production of the American court was the case on the merits Oksana Baiul to the state of Ukraine, Joseph Charles Lemira, a Delaware Corporation “Olympic Champions Ltd” and corporations from the British virgin Islands “Olympic Champions Ltd”.
The plaintiff claimed that the defendants violated the principle of good faith and fair dealing in the employment contract between Oksana Baiul and listed companies and also transferred the rights to use its name, popularity and biographical information of uninvolved third parties.
At the same time, payment of such use was inadequate, which led to non-receipt of the proper claimant of the profits.
The amount of the stated claims was more than 50 million U.S. dollars. The court found that the plaintiff’s claims are baseless, and therefore should be dismissed.
