For François Legault, build a third road link between Quebec city and Lévis would better respect the environment. It calculates that motorists would emit fewer greenhouse gases if they did not borrow the “iron horse” of the highways in Quebec city and Lévis.
The leader of the Coalition avenir Quebec has launched this assertion in his speech before the Chamber of commerce of Lévis on Thursday. In front of business people, he repeated that a government of the CAQ would start to build a third link in a first term of 4 years.
According to him, this commitment is quite achievable, as it has been possible to begin to build the Network express metropolitan (REM), in Montreal, in less than 4 years.
For Mr. Legault, the way the roads are constructed in the greater Quebec city region is not logical, given that the only two bridges available were built one next to the other. “I don’t know who thought of it, but it’s been a long time!”, a-t-launched it.
