THREE-RIVERS — program of academic perseverance Passport to my success continues to offer young people Shawiniganais valuable tools to foster their school success, and its literary contest testifies eloquently. We launched last Thursday the collection entitled Tell me your story from the fourth edition of this contest.

The program, created by the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi of Shawinigan, exists since 2012 . He joined more than 320 students have benefited from academic support, social and financial in addition to personalized support. The team mentoring program has as its mission to give young people a taste for read and write, and in this context, she has developed, with the support of the Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste de la Mauricie, a literary contest inviting young people to pursue both stories started by an author from the region. This year, the lucky winner is the sports journalist and author of the youth series Luc Gélinas, a native of Saint-Boniface.

The collection launched Thursday at Perro Bookseller Shawinigan contains the texts of thirty students who participated in the contest this year. We took advantage of the launch to make known those among them who have distinguished themselves as an author or artist in the strands of writing and illustration contest. This is Eve-Lyne Gauthier, a student in fifth secondary, who won the pane writing for his suite of History of baseball.
