SHAWINIGAN — The City of Shawinigan has lifted part of the boil water advisories in effect in some areas since 5 April.
It is no longer necessary for the majority of the residents of the sectors of Grand-Mère and Saint-Georges to boil the water before consuming.
The boil is maintained for the 17th Avenue between 15th Street and 18th Street, due to work still in progress.
“Concerned citizens have been notified by the messaging Service, automated citizens (SMAC). If you have not received a call, please add your details to the database of SMAC on the www.shawinigan.ca/smac or by phone with the Service to citizens at 819 536-7200,” stresses Louise Bellemare in the communications department of the city of Shawinigan.
